Why did President Biden drop out the race

President Joe Biden said Wednesday  to end his re-election campaign that he believed his record merited a second term, But he put his personal ambition aside in defense of democracy.

Biden did not go into great detail in explaining why he chose to bow out of the race, but may have hinted at the backlash he faced from his fellow Democrats. a few weeks later after the drop out he got Covid which may suggest why he left, President Biden stated "he will not drop out of the race till he falls sick" this may hint to why he dropped out.

Mr. Biden's decision to step aside before the Democratic convention.Mr. Biden has endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, to be the nominee, and a number of top Democrats also quickly announced they'd back her nomination. But it will be up to the delegates to determine the nominee now, and it is not clear yet whether any Democrat will challenge her.
